Emblem training at the arena you need to spend bond fragments to train against them and it will raise your bond level. You can use the arena 3 times per battle. You gain support between the units that are fighting. RNG can mess you up if you are trying to train a weak unit and they put them up against your best guys, try to unequip you strongest units before training up your weak units. Arena, you choose one unit and they fight a random unit from your party. Meals can fail, but very rarely, criteria currently unknown. You can only make 1 boxed lunch per battle and you can't stack them as you throw away the lunch if you did not use it in the last battle. Cafeteria lets you order a meal you share with 2 characters, gives you a support bonus between all 3 and you get a boxed lunch as an item, which is a healing item that is a bit better than a vulnerary. One is a button masher, one is a timed minigame, and the last one is a rhythm game, they are all pretty boring and the stat boosts are miniscule for those that want to ignore them. Exercise minigame is a collection of minigames that give temp boosts for the next battle, you choose between push ups, squats, and sit ups which all boost different stats. He can't say how effective it is without seeing his growth rates. Jean is the villager, you get him from the first paralogue, he is a doctor in training(his father is the village doctor), he starts at lvl 1 and has aptitude like most villagers. The length is what you expect from the series and the 10 seconds is about bond conversations The supports are not 10 seconds lol, but the bond conversations are usually 10 seconds, regular supports are about on par with the rest of the series, each is about 2 minutes if he had to guess. You get a lot of junk, but you can get vouchers for costumes and music from past games 5 amiibo can be scanned per day(regular or FE amiibo), FE amiibo will give you better stuff than regular ones. He just seems like a great dude and is very emotionally intelligent. In terms of writing, Louis is just kind of a guy that likes to people watch, he's nice and not sinister about it, he just likes seeing people happy. Louis in Gameplay is an armor, and they are very good in this game compared to usual, regular tanking is better than dodge tanking. In terms of writing he like that Yunaka is trying to turn around from a shady past, and she reflexively lies to get out of tough situations, she basically tries to put on a goofy front, but her actual personality comes out in stuff like her crit quotes. Yunaka is a great dodgetank and has high crit when hiding in terrain(covert units get double avoid). Favorite characters from the first 8 chapters are Yunaka and Louis, both in gameplay and writing. Not as bad as the early game on Awakening in Lunatic+, Maddening will most likely be hard but not unreasonably difficulty. Played the first 3 chapters on maddening, biggest change from hard that he noticed immediately is new skills on the bosses(Lumera had a skill that made her unbreakable and the chapter the boss was immune to effective damage). No passive way to gain engage meter, you need to be in battle or heal You can lower difficulty in the middle of the game, but you can't raise it Favorite Emblem character is Sigurd from the bond convos, he comes across well in the game Emblem characters are not relevant to the plot, just the emblems as a concept
